"I was born in March, 1989, in Benna small Hospital in (Wantoni) Anthony village, Uganda. I am the youngest of 7 children, two boys and five girls. We were very poor and could not afford anything. I lost my father at age of 16 and a woman of name mama Dottie took helped me care of me, I met her through Samaritan Purse, she paid for my school until i was a young man. I was able to go to Makerere University to complete my education. After my father passed away, I found out that I had inherited my father’s land. There was much conflict between family and other people that wanted to take possession of my father’s belongings. After I inherited my father’s land, I decided to help orphans and vulnerable children because I was in the same position. God allowed me to do so and be the helping hand for these children in need."
ABOUT HOPE CHILDREN'S HOME: Hope Children’s Home is a Christian children’s Home for orphans and vulnerable children that believes and follows Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. It started in 2010 with the objective of helping these innocent children have a safe home where they can be cared for and shown love as well as grow in Christs love and service.
Evangelist Arthur Kabugo from Uganda, began going out on mission trips and out reach programs with other servants of God throughout different villages and towns of Uganda. During these ventures he saw and witnessed thousands and thousands of suffering children who were homeless, abandoned, abused, tortured, dumped in toilets, left on streets to die and had no HOPE or a place called HOME to live.
Arthur Kabugo was also an orphan at an early age and felt miserable. He lived a dangerous life without hope for the future, and no parents or someone to help him. Suffering and living a hopeless life, he decided to move to Kampala,Uganda’s capital city, looking for a new and better life. On his first day in Kampala, he found himself in a church during an overnight prayer meeting. An unforgettable Friday night of 30th/July/2004 he welcomed and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. At the age of 17 he started to minister at his high school as preacher and chairman for scripture union. By serving the Lord he made a promised to help all orphans and vulnerable children who are helpless and going through the same situation that he experienced.
